Winton Terry is considered by many as a pioneer of natural birthing and fertility in Australia. Why? It is because of his ability to integrate all paradigms of understanding, from the wisdom of thousands of years of Traditional Chinese Medicine and meditative arts with that of the expertise of modern medicine and science that allows him to take this field to a whole new level.

Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) with its stability of over 3,500 years is Winton’s axis of thought. When considering your physiological, anatomical and spiritual health, TCM forms the basis of his diagnosis and treatment. 

Winton understands that there is great strength in all areas of health therapies. What often lets a person down is the lack of integration between all systems of thought and understanding. Winton, through his work with medical specialists and the like, is able to form a diagnosis based on the fundamentals of what is needed to be achieved. His focus is then on applying either his own skills alone, or in conjunction with that of his peers, to provide you with the most efficient, successful and natural treatment possible.

Acupuncture for example, is a highly successful method for the Induction of Labour. This can however take time depending on your state of readiness, (ref. to section on labour induction). If however time and safety do not permit, Winton can apply treatment in a manner that will facilitate a higher sensitivity to the induction drug Oxytocin. This will result in a more effective labour at a lower dose of oxytocin, and therefore provide a more natural, physiological, yet medically induced labour.
